Logging in to Members Only Pages

A few folks have had trouble getting to the Members' Only pages on the T-34 Association's website. This "checklist" is intended to help you overcome the hurdles you may encounter while trying to take advantage of the Members' Only pages. If they don't, send a note to

webmaster @ T-34.com and we will help you out.

NORMAL PROCEDURES

Pre-flight

You need to be a member of the T-34 Association. Or more specifically, you and your email address have to be in the T-34 Assn member database which is accessed by the website when you try to go to a Members' Only page. How do you find out if you are all set up? The following steps will tell you if you are and what to do if you aren't.

Engine Start

1. Go to the T-34 Assn website, www.t-34.com

2. In the left margin under "MEMBERS ONLY", click on "Login"

You should see a page that looks like this:

3. Click in the field to the right of "Email" and enter your email address

Many people have more than one email address. The address you enter needs to be the one that is listed for you in the member database. Don't know which address is in there or not sure which one? Give it a try. If it doesn't work you'll be prompted to send an email to webmaster@ t-34.com, which is sent to yours truly and I'll help you figure out what is wrong.

4. Press the tab key to move down to the "Password" field or click on it with your mouse and enter your T-34 Assn password.

This is NOT your email password...unless you have already logged in to the Members' Only area and set it to that. If you don't know what your T-34 Assn password is, follow the instructions below under EMERGENCY PROCEDURES.

5. Click on "Login".

You should see a page that looks like this:

Take off

As this is a check list for logging on to the Members' Only pages vs. a tutorial about what to do when you get there, I'll only say that the "Home" link in the grey bar across the top will take you back to the T-34 Assn website. However, once you are logged in, you don't have to login all over again if you go to any Members' Only pages. If you leave the website and come back, you will have to login again.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

Forgot (or Don't Know) Your Password

If you've never logged in to the Members' Only section or have forgotten your password for the T-34 Assn Members' Only section, do the following.

1. Go to the T-34 Assn website, www.t-34.com

2. Click on the link next to "Forgot Your Password?"

You should see a page that looks like this:

3. Enter your last name in the field next to "Last Name".

4. Enter your email address in the next field.

Again, this has to be the email address that is in the member database for you. If you don't know what address we have for you in the member database, take a guess. If it gives you an error you'll be prompted to send an email to webmaster @ T-34.com. That comes to me and I will help you figure out what's up.

5. Click on "Login Help".

When you do that you will see one of two messages. They are:

An email has been sent to the address you supplied. Click here once you've received it and are ready to log in.

or

Sorry - the last name and email you supplied cannot be verified. Perhaps you typed them wrong? Feel free to email client services for assistance.

The former means everything is copasetic. Check your email for a note from ClientServices@T-34.com that will contain your T-34 Assn password. Go back to the login page (if you click on "Click here" in the message that is where you will go) and login.

The latter means you aren't in the database, we spelled you last name wrong, we don't have an email address for you, the email address we have for you is wrong, etc. There is nothing more that you can do but click on the "client services" link. That should open an email addressed to webmaster @ T-34.com. In it tell me what's up; I'll take care of everything.

Spam Guards

Some folks employ "spam guards" that prevent ANYONE from sending email to them that is not on their approved list. What do you think the chances are of ClientServices@T-34.com being on that person's "white list"? If you use a "spam guard" tool and need to get your password this way, put that address on the approved list. Or send a note to webmaster @ T-34.com and I will take care of things.

Happy surfing...and flying.
