Parts

• New shimmy damper for Beech owners. Lord Corporation has announced a new nose-gear shimmy damper (this page only refers to Cessna applications) for Beech aircraft. The patented technology provides a consistent damping without maintenance. Instead of using fluids to resist motion, the shimmy damper features a unique rubber formulation with a high-tech lubricant to absorb nose-wheel vibration. Herber Aircraft, a distributor for Lord products, announced the Beech damper for specific Beech models at AirVenture 2007. We are checking to see if T-34s are also supported. (7/27/06)

Due to staffing limitations, the Research Division cannot conduct in-depth research for the public. However, the staff can answer brief questions concerning USAF history and aircraft.
