Registration Number: N13JG (Formerly N12282)
Owned by: Eric Jones
Location: Fort Worth Spinks Airport (FWS), TX

From Eric Jones on January 22, 2010...
The aircraft was acquired in the early
80's and has been in our family ever since. Though we shared in the
aircraft, at the time I was flying in the military and stationed
away. I currently have a hangar at FWS (Spinks), which is located
south of Fort Worth, Texas (outside the urban sprawl which is the
Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex). Spinks is a really nice airport, very
conducive for the preservation of a T-34.
The aircraft has largely been preserved
in stock condition, less the installation of a vacuum system. It has
been mechanically maintained and airworthy since acquisition. After
serving the CAP in Georgetown, TX, the aircraft was sold to a NWA
captain. This gentlemen had the aircraft for a year or so, flew it
very little, and as a consequence sold it to us. The interior had
been painted by the CAP; this was accomplished with "Sears House
Paint" utilizing a brush-by-hand method...ouch! While working at
Warbirds Unlimited in Houston, I had the opportunity to strip and
repaint/restore the interior of our aircraft; I can assure you that
no house paint was used during this process. We also reinstalled
nose gear doors and eliminated the bungi-system.
The interior was restored to a light
gray color scheme. Although this aircraft is an "A-model", it is
painted along a Navy Training Command scheme consisting of the
red/white high visibility markings.
