8/15/09: Here are some pictures of my front
and rear cockpit instrument panels and side consoles. They were done about 18 –
20 years ago. There are definitely some newer inst displays to consider if you
are redoing everything. Aspen’s EFD 1000 or RC Allen’s RCA2600 digital Horizon
are some good alternatives to modernize your panel. Garmin’s 530/430 stack is a
great nav system too.
I just added a Garmin 496 with
XM Wx (since I can’t afford to do any of that other stuff). It will be hard
mounted in the near future…I’m still trying to figure out where it will fit
best. It works GREAT.
