Undergoing restoration at Blackwell Aviation, Belle Vernon PA
This aircraft was in the restoration
process at Blackwell Aviation. The owner has decided to go another
direction and has asked me to sell the plane. This is an
opportunity for an individual that basically wants a new T-34. Buy
it and finish it yourself or have us complete the job.
Wings are complete sitting on racks
ready for external painting. Wings have Baron spars and WS66
installed. All inspections and AMOCS on wings are complete. The
fuselage from firewall forward has been removed and a complete new
nose constructed, ready for the IO550 engine. Includes IO550 STC.
New forward and aft carry-through C-channels have been installed.
Various structural repairs have been made and new keels are ready
for installation. There is no magnesium remaining in this
aircraft! This fuselage will be the most comprehensive rebuild in
the fleet when completed. Includes ALEC deposit.
The project includes new aluminum
elevators, and aluminum vertical stabilizer. There are new throttle
quadrants and trim quadrants. Most of the cockpit components have
been overhauled and painted, ready for installation. There is a
long list of new parts with the project. The airplane is very
complete with the exception of a powerplant and avionics. While the
owner has $210K invested, he realizes the current market
conditions. The wing and fuselage work, including STC’s are worth
more than $100K alone!
